To help guide the Church and the community as they seek to better minister to ... to better serve families facing Alzheimer’s and related dementias. To provide an Action Plan: a list of opportunities from which churches and communities, small or large, might choose a ministry that best fits. To provide free resources, along with references that will help make their choice of ministry a reality. All designed to bring help, hope, inspiration, and dementia education to these often forgotten families.
The problem is not that people with dementia forget. The problem is that they are forgotten.
Pastoral Theologian John Swinton
Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better.
When you Pray Move your Feet
Inasmuch as you do it unto the least of these, you do it unto me
Dedicated to all who live with dementia and to the families who love them through it.
Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these you have done it unto me.
Opportunities for churches and communities, large and small, budget or no budget to begin to have dementia conversations and to better serve these families.
It is not important how big the beginning...it is beginning that is important!
